Periodic Preventive Dental Prophylaxis - Before Gingivitis and Periodontal Disease Occurs

REPERTOIRE OF PRACTICE

We are the region's only full service and full repertoire dentistry practice for Dogs and Cats. Our areas of practice include:

  • Preventive Care (starting tooth brushing and other home-care at puppyhood and kittenhood, establishing or re-establishing tooth brushing after Dental Prophylaxis during adulthood or geriatric age, advanced home care techniques for pets having dental disability from prior dental disease.

  • Dental Prophylaxis (thorough dental cleanings above and below the gumline, detailed intra-oral exam and charting, and complete treatment planning.

  • Periodontics (procedures to treat gum infection and bone infection around the tooth roots)

  • Endodontics (root canal, vital canal, and tooth shortening)

  • Oral Surgery (tumors, cancer, trauma, dentigenerous cyst, oro-nasal fistula, and more)

  • Exodontics (from routine extractions to complex surgical extractions including fangs and carnassial teeth)

  • Prosthodontics (protective crowns for teeth that have had structural injury or that have had a root canal).

  • Orthodontics for trauma-causing malocclusion (impressions and stone model study, treatment planning, fabricated braces to adjust malocclusion, interceptive surgery to adjust malocclusion). Note: We DO NOT perform cosmetic orthodontics!

  • Stomatitis Care (diagnosing the underlying cause of an individual patient's stomatitis so that it may be effectively treated with the goal of pain-free remission)

  • Dental care for pets having complex, co-morbid, medical conditions including but not limited to heart disease, kidney disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, hypertension, Cushing syndrome, autoimmune disease, and other chronic illnesses.

We care for patients only by pre-scheduled appointment to ensure that each arriving patient has the time needed for their individual care.  Before arriving for any reason, always schedule and confirm an appointment with us ahead of time.
